Burr Oak State Park
Burr Oak State Park features over twenty-five miles of scenic hiking trails, picnic tables, grills, 500 feet of sandy beach, and a shelter house for the public use. The 664-acre lake is well known for its catch of large mouth bass, crappie, bluegills, and catfish. You can fish from the lake shore or rent a pontoon boat from the seasonal marina, stay in a resort lodge room, or rent a cottage. The lodge features full service dining room, lounge, swimming pool, tennis courts, and nearby golf. The park also offers a main campground which features 17 newly paved electric sites, 67 quiet non-electric campsites, and two camper cabins. This area includes amenities of a shower house, flush toilets, laundry facilities, and a camp store. Other activities include 19 primitive dock area campsites, group camping, horseman's camp, dock rentals, and hunting permitted in designated areas of the park.
