Athens County GeoTrails

The first GeoTrails in Ohio and the ONLY handicap-accessible trail in the nation!

Welcome to Athens County! To introduce you to all we have to offer, we have created two official Athens County GeoTrails, which features both a traditional version and one that is fully handicap-accessible.

The Holiday Inn Express of Athens is the official Geocaching hotel and has offered a special reduced rate of only $80/night! You may call 740-592-4640 to make reservations. Just mention "Geocache" and you'll receive the special rate!

Completion Requirements:

1)   Download Traditional Trail Puzzle HERE.

                                  OR

      Download Accessible Trail Puzzle HERE.

                                  OR

      Pick up a puzzle at the Athens County CVB or Holiday Inn Express!

2)   Puzzle codes can be found inside caches. Complete puzzle.

3)   Turn in completed puzzle and get your coin at these locations:

          Athens County CVB, 667 East State St, Athens OH 45701        MON - FRI, 9am-5pm

          Holiday Inn Express, 555 East State St, Athens OH 45701       ANYTIME

4)   Come back and visit Athens again!
