The Ohio Valley Museum of Discovery (OVMOD) will be open in April and
May for a two-month preview of exhibits and activities that will
encourage exploration and play for children and youth ages 5-12.
Located in a storefront in The Market on State, the museum is
showcasing
Wild Weather!, an 11-station interactive exhibit developed by the Midwest Wild
Weather Project with major funding from the National Science
Foundation through a tour organized by the Evansville Museum of Arts,
History and Science.
Beginning April 9, 2011, OVMOD will be open to the public on Saturdays from
10 AM to 1 PM. Families are encouraged to combine a trip to the
mall and the Farmers Market with a visit to the exhibit, where
children will be able to learn about weather and create their own
weather phenomena.
