The Wayne National Forest presents the Wild Weekend Discovery Series. These fun-filled educational programs are for kid’s preschool through 5th grade and are held at the Forest Headquarters off US Hwy 33 between Nelsonville and Athens.
The monthly event takes place on the first Saturday of every month from 10am to
noon. Children will enjoy a different lesson every month, with an activity and
a craft to complement the lesson. Every child will receive a Smokey Bear
punch card and it’ll be punched each time a child participates. On their 6th
visit they’ll receive a patch!
