Head to Nelsonville's Historic Public Square for great art, delicious foods and more! Final Fridays features new exhibits from Nelsonville's Historic Arts District galleries, art, vendors, music, and more!

You'll see street musicians and performers, artists demonstrating their trade, a FREE Summer Concert Series provided by Stuart's Opera House, top quality art exhibits and so much more. A perfect way to end each month.

Learn the history of our world famous star bricks. 

Shop for pottery from regional & contemporary ceramic artists & local potters.

Special Events on the Square:

         Check out Dale Hague wheel throwing pottery demo in front of the Nelsonville Emporium!  His work includes mugs, bowls, plates, oil lamps and more. 

·         7:30 pm Stuarts Opera House Presents: FREE Summer Concert Series with Yarn, an American group from New York …live music in the Stuart's parking lot with beer garden. Since their start in 2007, Yarn’s original Americana sound has developed into music that seekers of the unique see as the soundtrack to their lives.  Don’t miss this free event!

         The Dairy Barn will lead a children’s clay experience.

Stuarts Gallery 1879: Opening Night:Full Circle - A 10 Year Celebration!  An amazing show of identity-based artwork created by sixty 2014 Circle Round the Square participants. Skateboards, Mandalas, Ceramic Hybridized Animal/Kids and Screen-Printed Pulp Paintings, will be on display downstairs in the lobby. Self-portraits created in advanced digital photography will loop upstairs in the theater. This is a once a year event. Come help us celebrate!

Nelsonville Library:  On exhibit - Famous Bricks of Southeastern Ohio. Come see a display of various bricks that were made in our region and stop by our Local History Room to learn more about them.

For kids: 5:30 pm to 7 pm Brick Rubbings. Also, Library Book Sale - All items 30¢ a piece or fill a bag for just $3.

Starbrick Cooperative Gallery:  Opening Night:The Wild Women of Starbrick by the Women Artists of Starbrick Gallery. The strong women of Starbrick like to take a wild and fun look at the world with our art; this is sure to be an outstanding show of innovative work.  Also: Win a weekend stay for 2 at Springwood cabins in the Hocking Hills.  A $498 value!!

The Plaid Butterfly:   We made "Marvelous Mud" soap. That's right clay/mud is marvelous for your skin too! Stop by and enjoy the scents of our local- handmade bath products

Majestic Galleries:  Continuing:   Majestic Galleries 8th National Juried Show.  Forty three selections by thirty-two artists from 7 states and Canada.  This exhibition includes painting, sculpture, lithography, photography and mixed media. Show juror was Dr. Louis Zona, Director of Butler Institute of American Art, Youngstown, OH.  Also in the Front Gallery: artwork by Kelse Lightsinger.

Paper Circle:  Continuing: Whispering Residue by Sally Rose.  An exhibition of handmade paper sculpture. Sally Rose is fascinated with the material investigation of handmade paper and how it transforms as it dries and shrinks into sculptural forms. Depending on the type of plant used to make the paper pulp—cotton, flax, or abaca--a non-edible banana palm -- the paper can be extremely delicate or extremely tough.
