The Wayne National Forest presents the Wild Weekend Discovery Series. These fun-filled educational programs are for kid’s preschool through 5th grade and are held at the Forest Headquarters off US Hwy 33 between Nelsonville and Athens.

The monthly event takes place on the first Saturday of every month at 10am and Noon. Children will enjoy a different lesson every month, with an activity and a craft to complement the lesson. Every child will receive a Smokey Bear punch card and it’ll be punched each time a child participates. On their 6th visit they’ll receive a patch!

Bring your children and enjoy this free fun-filled educational program that’s designed for preschool to 5th grade. This one hour program has two starting times, one at 10am and another at noon. Space is limited to 15 seats per session, so please pre-register by calling (740) 753-0101

Come explore the incredible world of owls. Discover how they fly silently and how they see so well.  Learn all about owls in Ohio and dissect their pellets!  You’ll also learn what they eat.

As always, please remember to bring your Smokey card if you have one. After your sixth visit, you will receive a patch!
