Ohio Brew Week celebrates Ohio's diverse craft brews during the week-long festival. Over 175 craft beers from 28 Ohio Breweries will be on tap!
The 2013 Ohio Brew Week keynote speaker is Bill Metzger. Bill began to brew his own beer in 1988. This decision came after years of traveling to different countries and regions of the United States under the guise of sampling the native beers there. Bill’s love of travel—and beer—led him to realize that he needed to know more about the brewing process. His first successful beer was a Nut Brown Ale, made from a kit.
Bill gives the Keynote Address, Monday, June 24, starting at 6PM during the Official Keg Tap Ceremony at Jackie O’s Public House, 24 W. Union St. He will also speak during the Beer Infused Buffet dinner at The Pub, 39 N. Court St., Sunday, June 23, starting at 6PM Click here for the full bio.
Explore Rick Armon’s beer blog. Rick is an accomplished journalist working for the Akron Beacon Journal. He published, Ohio Breweries last year and actively covers the craft brew industry.
