Nelsonville Main Street presents the Valentine's Chocolate Choo-Choo aboard the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway on Saturday, February 11, 2012! Take your Valentine on a sweet ride filled with great food, wine and beverages, entertainment and lots of chocolate! This promises to be a hit for many more Valentines to come! Age 21 and over, please.
The Chocolate Choo-Choo will depart the Nelsonville Depot promptly at 5:30pm. Riders will be treated to a Social Hour at the Robbins Crossing Pioneer Village in a historic log cabin, complete with a fire and hot mulled cider. Riders will reboard the train after the Social Hour for the ride to Logan and back to the Depot. The ride will last approximately 1.5
hours.
Tickets are $35 per person. Includes chocolate, hors d'oeuvres, and 2 pours of wine. Additional pours of wine available for $1 each. Wine may only be consumed on the train.
Hors d'oeuvres provided by Rhapsody Restaurant will include:
Local and atrisanal cheese
Fresh fruit with dark chocolate covered strawberries
Sweet and sour pork meatballs
Miniature puff pastry bouchees with cream cheese artichoke spread
Grilled chicken satay with a key lime coconut cream
Vegetable tortilla wraps with boursin cheese
Pita and tortilla tray with salsa and cilantro hummus
Chocolate truffles
Chocolate Treat Bags for train ride include: Chocolate chip cookie, chocolate
dipped pretzel rod, cocoa strawberry macaroon, chocolate chip brownie and a
rice krispie treat. Each bag also includes a coupon for Rhapsody Restaurant.
Tickets are available for purchase online. (See below). Tickets may be purchased at the
Depot beginning one hour prior to the event, but seating is limited and
advance ticket purchase is recommended. Tickets will be limited to the first 300 riders.
The Hocking Valley Railway Ticket Center is
closed for the season, and tickets for the Chocolate Choo-Choo are not
available for purchase through them.
