Athens County's micro-winery is situated in Southeast Ohio's Appalachian foothills. Shade Winery is actively reviving old traditions and striving to create new ones. Established in 2004, Shade Winery is dedicated to emphasizing local or organically grown ingredients whenever possible.
Shade Winery is open on Fridays & Saturdays from 1 to 8PM.
They now have nine wines including their own estate grown, Vidal Blanc as
well as wines made from other Ohio
grown grapes. Visit their tasting room and relax on the porch
with views of the vineyards. They have
fine local cheese and crackers available from Integration
Acres, as well as wild caught smoked salmon and mixed olives. You are
also invited to bring along your own snacks or meals to enjoy. Gas grills also available for guest use!
