Head to Nelsonville's Historic Public Square for great art and more! Final Fridays features new exhibits from Nelsonville's Historic Arts District galleries, art, vendors, music, and more! Don't miss the Nelsonville Farmers Market on the Square from 5 to 8PM during the warm months!

It's easy to get to the Public Square from Rt. 33 as it runs through Nelsonville. From the north, make a left at the traffic light by Rocky Outdoor Gear Store; from the south, make a right at the light.

Fourth Friday this month only- because the Nelsonville Music Fest is next weekend!!

Tonights’ Exhibition Openings will be dedicated to the fine art of contemporary photography.

Additional hands-on classes, tips from the pros, and demos will allow you to try out new skills on the picturesque Historic Public Square.

Special tonight: Hands-On

Morristowne Photography & Dennis Savage will be teaming up for an evening of learning and fun.

First, join Jeff and Heather as they show you their approach to set-up, lighting and the basic theory behind white seamless background portraits. They'll show you how to get that high fashion look in virtually any location.(In their studio)

 

Next, join Dennis as he shows you the (almost) lost art of developing a print from a negative. Crowd into his dark room and see the magic unfold as paper and chemicals come together to make Dennis' photographic visions come alive. (in the basement of the Majestic)

 

The Hitch Hikers Reunion Show will start at 8 at All proceeds benefit the Nelsonville Food Cupboard.

 

Stuart’s Gallery 1879:  Opening Night: The Photography of Jason Bash, photos from live performance at Stuart's Opera House and the Nelsonville Music Festival.

 

Starbrick Cooperative Gallery:  Opening Night: Hidden Worlds Revealed II by photographer Jim Shirey.  Jim’s work with a macro-lens exposes a veiled and secreted world.  His work invites the viewer through this veil by depicting natural objects as centers of power lying just beyond the physical limits of vision.  Jim will be present to discuss his work and techniques as part of Nelsonville Fourth Fridays’ Focus on Photography.

 

Paper Circle:  Opening Night: Winter by artist Anna Tararova. Sometimes it seems like this old winter will never end. We are all mighty tired of fighting & waiting… but the spring is surely on Her way.
