Cycling on the bricks of Nelsonville… what a great way to gear up for summer.

The Nelsonville Area Chamber of Commerce and Rocky Outdoor Gear Store present the 2nd Annual Starbrick Classic on June 18, 2009.

It’s an exciting day of races and events for cyclists, enthusiasts, families, and spectators. There truly is something for everyone, regardless of age or skill level.

Nearly 100 professional cyclists will take to the hills and conquer the 70-mile course from Nelsonville to South Bloomingville and back. While they're gone, an 18-mile local race will be held in the heart of Nelsonville.

3:50 pm: Professional Race assembles on Columbus Avenue
4:00 pm: Professional Race leaves Nelsonville
5:30 pm: Local race for Beginners starts and covers 18 miles on the Nelsonville race course
6:30 pm: Professional Racers return and cover five laps on the Nelsonville course
