63 works by 54 of our region’s most talented artists will be on view at the The Dairy Barn Arts Center’s OH+5 exhibition. OH+5 2012 is The Dairy Barn’s eighth biennial, all-media, juried art exhibition featuring artists from Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. OH+5 was created with the goal of featuring a wide array of contemporary art that varies in size, style, and media. This year’s OH+5 exhibition will expand viewers’ awareness and appreciation of the variety of media, techniques and innovative trends in contemporary art.
The Wayne National Forest offers a series of fun-filled educational programs for kid’s preschool to 5th grade at the Forest Headquarters off US Hwy 33 between Nelsonville and Athens.

The three-part exhibition Women Artists in the KMA Collection will highlight paintings, prints, and 3-D work made by women artists in the 20th century. Part I will explore the work of women artists who began their career prior to the feminist movement in art in the 1970s. The work included in Part I is for the most part abstract and in the form of paintings, drawings and prints. This exhibition will place these artists within the larger art world context in which they worked, exploring the relationship between gender, art making, and abstraction.

Dr. Dorian Leljak, Professor of Piano at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, Serbia, will be presenting a piano recital featuring the works of Chopin and Rachmaninov in the Glidden Recital Hall on February 4, 2012 at 7:30pm. Dr. Leljak has won several international piano competitions and prizes, and we are very honored that he will be sharing his talents with the Ohio University community.
